As a traveller or an interpreter.

Yesterday, I had  an appointment at Children Foundation  in Salaya area  as I had a Batik course provided for the children there.  I took  an Aircon-Bus No. 539 to get there.  During my trip, I found  that a lot of people  who  work in Om-noi  travelled with this bus and mostly they are Burmese.  The conductor did his job very well.  He always asks where will we go in order that he can collect the fares correctly.  One of Burmeses  was tricky as he tried to pay only  Baht 10.- (Maximum Baht 24.-)                                                                                                                                         and the conductor said that  Baht 10.- was not enough for  the trip.  Quite difficult for both parties   as one would like to pay less and the other would like to get more.  At that moment, I understood  their feelings.  They argued for a long time but finally arrived at a compromise and I was become  their interpreter.  Luckily  on the way back, there was nothing wrong.  E. & O.E.
